nice Joe Bataan Afrofilipino LP in that lot, TheMack. My fave Joe Bataan LP
That was a nice lot for $16...and that Best of Tom Scott LP, you should leave it in the backseat of your ride for a week in 90 degree weather, and then practice the "2-sheets-of-glass-in-an-oven" un-warping technique on it...if it fails, try again with the Janis Joplin's GH
oooohhh, nice.
that my friend is an absolutely beautiful LP.
So feeling the need for some wax, decided to "buy" this from my for sale bin.
Horace Andy- Dancehall Style (Wackies) lp
Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Band- You're So Beautiful (WB) lp
Tony Camillos Bazuka- Dynomite (A&M) lp
Don Burrows- Tasman Connection (Cherry Pie) lp
Lalo Schifrin- Ape's Shuffle (20th Century) 7"
Mystic Moods- Cosmic Sea (WB) 7"
Les Crane- Desiderata (WB) lp
Roy Burns is a Los Angeles based LP with 2 funky tracks. I sold a copy on ebay a couple months back for a shade over $20. Not amazing but a nice find and would be great for a mixtape or something
yep, two tracker, funky big band. pete jolly smokes on organ on one tune.
sik
here's my finds from today that make me look like the microbrewedude that i am, dude
the Black Airport LP is a swedish compilation with a killer cover of Lyn Collin's 'Think', John Sangster's best (?) and took me sooo long to find a copy, the one with the orange and purple circles is the Falconairs and it has a nice cover of King Curtis' 'Memphis soul stew',
Pantha LP is an ok aussie funky rock thing, Volker Kriegal is ok but not as good as his earlier MPS rekkids, doug parkinson, the over with the blonde is some weird Greek record that i can't read but it has covers of 'stayin' alive' and some other pop numbers. Esther King album is private press Gospel arranged by Tony Ansell and it has Don Burrows and Kerrie Biddell on it too. The black and white cover is on some lesbian feminist political folk shit (and it sounds terrible), and the bottom right corner is another aussie record I'de never seen before that hassome nicemoments on it.

What is up with that Lyn Christopher(white turtle neck) record,... its all over the SSboard, never heard it, just curious.... ???
fact: that record is swiss, not swedish.
opinion: there is nothing "killer" about that track. it's the most butchered jbs cover i've ever heard in my life. it's kinda cool in a novelty way, but from a musical standpoint, it's terrible.
carry on.
