I will admit that I was not yet out of my Men At Work phase in 1983.

And co-sign on Queen 8-tracks getting lots of burn in my oversized 1970s headphones.

If liking Queen was/is wrong, then I damn sure don't want to be right.

I am really appreciating the honesty in this thread.

And the lack of clowning, which is a Soulstrut rarity these days.

I'll see if I can think of any....besides the Atban Klan.

IMO both of those more or less stand up to the test of time.

I will admit to a brief flirtation with Irish folk music around '86-'87.

You want really bad huh? How about these!

  • My first cassette ever was Michael Jackson's Thriller.

I got into Hip Hop first, then Rock and Rock'n'Roll. Then Heavy Metal and Punk.

I used to liten to Panthera, Suicidal Tendencies and Gwar before I got into Hip Hop again.

My first gut response was I'M NOT A SNOB! Hahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha.
    When I got done laughing...

I was never a big rock fan, I turned 13 in 1969 the peak of classic rock, but there is lots I could stand before that I can't now. I try to justify a lot of it by complaining about the singing. Bob Dylan opened the doors to droves of bad singers.

I think my most egregious snobbishness today is hatting on musicians I used to tolerate, because they said things I did not like. The short list:
    Steve Allen
    Eric Clapton
    Linda Ronsatadt
    Most of the Eagles
    Stephen Stills
    Wynton Marsalis
    Elvis Costello
    ...

Yeah, I still have my Op Ivy LP. And I'll still enjoy some Rancid if I hear it out somewhere.
