Cecil McBee - Lady Blue

So I got the Stanley Cowell album "Equipoise" (Galaxy 1979) today, and I can't get past track two on side 1. Track two on side 1 is "Lady Blue" by Cecil McBee. I keep playing it over and over again. Cowell's playing gently supports McBee's composition, and when McBee comes in with the solo, his bass sound is out of this world. Roy Haynes just faintly keeps the beat with the brushes. This is the soundtrack to someone cooking a gourmet meal, complete with freshly chopped chives mixed into the salted Dutch butter spread onto a warm baguette to accompany the meal, and then eating it all alone. Far too sensitive for most of you thugs to understand, but... Chives,JRoot
