    Sexy Beast

    Awesome movie.

As others have mentioned, I'm far too much of a film geek to ever stop at 5, can't we do categories such as best action films between 84-89 and top 5 French musicals etc etc? No? Sigh, ok.

There's a big difference between what are favourite films and what I consider the greatest movies ever made, but, 5 random favourites for today (tried to cover different areas):

    Miller's Crossing
    Texas Chainsaw Massacre
    Taxi Driver
    Bringing Up Baby
    Sonatine

Fuck no room for Carpenter, Kubrick, Kurosawa etc etc.

Ah shit I want to change Miller's Crossing to Big Lebowski as well. In fact I could happily do a top 5 merely based on films that started with the words "The Big".
