i mean really how many times can you listen to something like this:
Well it's big Bun B now, baby, Mr. Woodgrain With diamonds up against them balling through your hood mayn And I'm smoking on some good mayn, the color purple Not the movie, but the kind that have you going in a circle Chrome, looking more classy than the Transco Tower Car drippin' candy paint like it just came out the shower Like 'Face I got the money, the power and the finesse To roll around one deep with hundred-thousand round my neck I'm looking real shiny; you can see me from a mile away Thought you was doing it, until I came and took your smile away Pull up on your side in the turning lane Pop my trunk, break you off, chunk a deuce, and I'm Cadillac turning mayn Little swang to the left, big swang to the right My plates scraping and I'm sliding the pipe, it's super tight So don't try to knock us baby, don't try to hate That's how we do it in that Lone star state; get it straight (we be...)

i dont think anyone besides pimp c could have gotten away with rapping over a Tom Petty loop[/b]
Looking forward to the album. Bun B was dropping some Real Schitt talk on the last Damage control (downloadable from Houstonsoreal if you're so inclined).

Yeah, uh, he didn't get away with it. I think we all caught him. But hey, just got out the lock, he was excited, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one.

It's indeed questionable whether he got away with it or not, but if he didn't, nobody else could. Except maybe the Biz.
That's true, let's hope they make up for it with the new one.
And while we're on the subject, what did any of you think of Bun's solo? I remember it getting dissed heavily on here but I thought it had a lot of good songs on it.
I've been revisiting it recently and have to say that, removed from the expectation surrounding it, it sounds better than it did at the time, not a classic but it's a decent album in it's own right with not too much filler.

Me, too. What I think I said at the time--and still think--is that people were diappointed that it was not his Blueprint or his Fix and allowed that disappointment to prevent them for hearing it for what it was. There was a lot of stuff on there that I liked and I thought it was one of the dozen or so best albums to come out in '05.
Yes! Trill is actually a very good album. Mabye not classic, but the whole thing goes hard pretty much. That pushin joint with jeezy and scarface is my shit.
Comments
Well, it certainly wasn't as good as Shawnna's album.

...without zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
It's watermarked press shit.
The album drops April 3rd.
Dude, I can listen to that shit forever.
they both sound good to mee!
Really? Do you party? Maybe you shouldn't listen to the radio edit
Bun has too many classic verses for people to let halfassed candy paint rhymes pass for genius
Are you propositioning the boy?
I am saying.
Because, you know, I do "party".
But somehow I don't think replacing "uuuuuuuhhhhhh" with "head" is going to make it a winner.
Oh, I was thinking like album sampler that you pick up next to the flyers at the record store. My bad.

Sweet James Jones Stories, on the other hand = best reconstituted album from a locked up artist everrrrrrr
