There was another 12" w/ different rappers on it... it didn't really make an impression on me.
everything we spit is hard head to head - they did a 2005 version of this which is smoking but gets the big thumbs down from one Young Fox

Maybe not everyone's definition of underground, but...
Lil Troy - Wanna Be a Baller Lil Keke - Southside DJ DMD - 25 Lighters Fat Pat - Tops Drop Mac Dre - I Need a Eighth Richie Rich - What I Ain't Gone Do Mac Mall - Some Mo' of It San Quinn - Get a Lil Stupid B-Legit - Destiny Abstract Rude - Coat of Paint PEACE - Southwest Rider Of Mexican Descent - Despues de la Vida Planet Asia - The Professional Labtekwon - I Am Here
How do I feel about them as a crew or how am I up on them?
Just wondering if you dug them. I don't think I ever had the J-Treds 12" but his verses w/ Indelible were fire. Didn't know if EL-P ruined those records for you.

I liked them at the time, but I got rid of my own copies some years ago when I realized that there would probably not be an occasion where I would want to listen to them again.
The production on the J-Treds 12" was a lot more 1994 than it was El-P.
the recording process of that record always bugged me and has always clouded my judgement of that record. I love it - I just only listen to the demo version of the song.

Lil Troy - Wanna Be a Baller
Not to sidetrack too much, but my friend brought over this track by Lil Troy one day that was hilarious. It was like a country ballad type of song with 808 drums and Lil Troy screaming about how each one of these girls is "just a bitch in my book". Has anybody heard this? It's terrible and funny at the same time. Mostly terrible.
Who Falls Apart? I like that song. I haven't listened to the Nonce in a while. their World Ultimate LP had some good tracks on it. I can't stand the mixtapes song anymore though.

We might as well just nominate the entirety or Babu's World Famous Beat Junkies Vol. 1.

hells yeah, I was just singing that string sample in my head when reading this thread.
What about Mic Geronimo? He had a couple of good tracks. and Jemini the Gifted One (or is that early 90s?)
