for some reason screw music does not bother me in the same way. entirely different mindset.perhaps this is a better question to pose for the sake of discussion: are doubles rocked purely for the sake of impressing other djs?

In microwave world, you can instantly have doubles by matter of copy and paste right?
done well, rocking doubles is like making your own party breaks and accenting good parts of the song.
i never do it live, but this is one thing i like about people that do rock doubles out.
but excessive doubling/looping/take it back to the top, on a less than cool song is mastercratchsterbation.
