all you really have to do is increase the image size while resampling the resolution. If you go from a 720x576 image (10"x8"@72 dpi) to a 3600x2880 (50"x40"@72 dpi) you've essentially resampled the resolution by a factor of 5... or something.
it's really easy if you use the rasterbator. i used to do these in photoshop and it would take so goddamn long for me to just plan it and i couldn't even make them big like these.
how do i get mine to come out in better quality? i printed a nina simone pic on about 24 pieces of paper, but the pixilations are so big she kinda looks like erykah badu.
i printed this (for fun, don't clown, good movie anyway) on on 18 pieces of paper and its barely decipherable. help please.

um make it smaller or use a bigger/higher res. source picture?

make what smaller? i would think making it smaller (less pieces of paper) would make it more difficult to deciper/more pixilated. can i make the source pic a higher resolution or is it "it is what it is/"? shit, i was never good at arts and crafts
the pixellation is from a difference in size...the bigger you blow a picture up, the more pixellated it will become or the farther back you'll have to stand for it to make sense. and pictures kinda "are what they are", you can't just increase the resolution.

I can imagine having a guestroom with a startled but beautiful Monica Vitti turning bed, a la L'Avventura.
