That Sly album (along with "Fresh") is my favorite to listen to from start to finish

Belson turned me on to that Jimmy McCracklin earlier this year.

    Great pick ups

I got a spare Linda Williams[/b] "City Living" (Arista) today

a true baller would've haggled him down to $2.

or paid him in twigs and pebbles.

I bought this after listening to a couple people's reviews and really wasn't feeling it either. I'd scoop it for $10 for sure, but just to trade/sell.

ORG Deep Groove W 63 St. NY

    Private Jazz funk!

    Some nice reggae finds:
Roots and Culture Comp. on UK CHA CHA-Earl Sixteen, Earl and Stone etc
is the one in the corner. The rest you can see.

Not a bad little week all around...

  • the rolands is really cool reggae, ive never heard of it before. 1st press Creams
    for days. er, for minutes.

Now i know how to drink wine! 1st JCS pic sleeve ive ever seen, sadly a little mouse
chewed. at last a sandy denny that doesnt look like someone ran over it with their
    car 100 times.

Shaggs is the Rounder press, of course. still, the only copy ive ever seen,
been seeking it since '95. the wild in the streets OST has that awesome 'the shape of things to come' song on it.

  • that's cool, I found a copy of the rolands LP this week too.

Their big hit is the title track, which is fairly common on 12". The album, not so much.

After giving away this LP that I found in a Minnesota dollar bin last year to Rockadelic for the Secret Santa, I figured it was time to get it back.

Really cool stuff, sly covers, some fuzz, backwards tape loops etc....

  • Good finds for everyone! This thread really just makes me angry in the end. Stuff like this neeevvvar pops up in my town.

You do live in Utah, no? When I was in Colorado, I thought the record selection there was kinda thin in certain places. I can only imagine the "Utah experience."

I'll be damned. I would just think based on my experience having Mormon friends, that they wouldn't bring "da funk" when buying records BITD.

I found tons of great shit in Colorado, but if I was digging not in or around Denver, the digging was

True on both counts, but as Non points out, Colorado is all about Denver, and Utah is all about stupid luck. And no one is traveling to UT to dig for funk (which is was the "stuff like this" comment was about I believe).
