How is that James Conwell record, what kind of style?
I just cracked one of them open this morning, every song on it sounds like a thousand dollar northern 45...which doesnt mean its great, but there are some cool tunes on it , "Another Sundown in Watts" is good...and what seems to be the exact same recording of the Exits "gotta have money"...It took a second, but James is "Jimmy" Conwell Im guessing, who I think was in the Exits... this LP is perhaps kind of an eponymous jernt of his stuff?...but I might be wrong.
Still have to get through some more though got a sealed copy of this also at the thrift(got about 20 records total): When I saw that cover and flipped it over and saw "sitar" "moog", I was like yeah buddy! But, not my cuppa tea at all...I just caint get into the moder funk. Prolly will sell it or trade it.

ahh, I only have that one exits 45, I dont know their/his discography very well obviously.
I just got back from a little summer vacation to montreal...and i had a blast. montreal is a great city and unlike what i had been told the people were super-friendly. I also found a few records there too. but the best record i found recently came out of a well known store in brooklyn where i rarely find any good deals. this was $6. thanks... Jan Garbarek is real nice, I'm listening to it now. Descendents upgrade. Top right is a columbia rec club thing packed with 60s soul & garage band stuff, cool. Mancini latin band has killer mission impossible.
Saw that top right 60s/garage Super Hits twice this weekend and both had the wrong record in the sleeve with no sight of the right one anywhere. Anyway you could up that Psychotic Reaction? i think its the second track on the A-side. My lady wanted to hear what it was all about but we never got the chance.

It's a collection of early 60s DDR jazz recordings. It's just OK, not spectacular. The featured artists are Werner M??ller-Quintett, Manfred Ludwig-Sextett, Johannes Rediske-Quintett, Dresdner Tanzfoniker, Gustav Brom Orchestra, G??nther H??rig and vocalists Gery Scott and Ingrid Werner.
Mandatory covers of Desafinado, Take Five, Moanin', Opus De Funk and so on. Only track I really dig is an original called "Scandinavia" by Manfred Ludwig which is a nice little 3/4 ditty. There's solid playing througout, but I don't think it will be a keeper.

It's a collection of early 60s DDR jazz recordings. It's just OK, not spectacular. The featured artists are Werner M??ller-Quintett, Manfred Ludwig-Sextett, Johannes Rediske-Quintett, Dresdner Tanzfoniker, Gustav Brom Orchestra, G??nther H??rig and vocalists Gery Scott and Ingrid Werner.
Mandatory covers of Desafinado, Take Five, Moanin', Opus De Funk and so on. Only track I really dig is an original called "Scandinavia" by Manfred Ludwig which is a nice little 3/4 ditty. There's solid playing througout, but I don't think it will be a keeper.
