Not really expensive by any means but.... I'd buy Jan and Lorraine "gypsy people" for $40 and JoAnn Garrettt "just a taste" for $50 again in a heartbeat.
Paying ??25 for a mint UK pressing of The Zombies Odessey & Oracle about 13 years ago. Most I'd paid for a record at the time but was definitely worth it for both musical and monetary value.

Woah. I've never seen or read about that one. Can you say a few words about it? I like his album "Supernatural".
Yeah this has been released on Bam-Boo in 1975. All other Birdsong Lps are nice but I think 'Dance Of Survival' is his best work. I can listen to this from beginning to end again and again. It's hard to describe the sound of this album, maybe 'spiritual and spaced out' , LOL. Here is the title track so you see what I mean:
1. Dance Of Survival 2. Possessed (Take The Evil Spirits Away) 3. Something Ain't Right (Gotta Go Home) 4. What's Your Sign? 5. Night Of The Full Moon 6. Your Smile Gave Birth To My Idea 7. Astral Walk (Instrumental)
This LP has already been reissued if you don't want to spend too much money!
Totally mindblowing album, easily my favorite Birdsong release. I've previously only heard the horrible quality reish boot (DON'T GET IT...HOLD OUT FOR THE REAL THING!), so the sound clip you posted was nothing short of relevatory.
I would just like to resurect this thread to bump/cosine Odub and say that I just listened to 'Hang on In There,' and I will never regret buying that record.
This is rich, because K traded me what is basically a $150 record for the Zhivago, back when I was pretty young and green. Yet it's something he deems as an "expensive record" worth his "money".

Amazing.
the K fallout continues. its like Skylab breaking up and raining down molten bits for months. Im so glad my one possible trade with him never happened. Im even glad he was asshurt about it! heh heh.

Can??t find a picture of this, but the most expensive record I ever bought was
Johnny Teupen - Harporythm (40??? in Stuttgart), and I LOVE it. Just the right balance of muzak, funk and latin. "Canon Mood" is a certified facemelter.

Do it! As far as femme folk goes, this is as good as it gets. (including Linda Perhacs)
a steal.

This album needs a proper remastering!

I thought of that one, too, when I saw the title of the thread.
Totally unique.
Every track is lovely. But the topper is their version of Everybody Loves The Sunshine.

I need (the og of) this!
Got my OG for $10 out of TSL about 3 years back, all because there's SLIGHT water damage to the cover. And I mean SLIGHT.
WHAT WEBSTER LEWIS LP GOES FOR ALOT OF MONEY????
Live At Club 7
And it's fantastic.
Also, cosine on Osmium and Joe McPhee Nation Time.
but here are some of the "expenisve" records i bought in the last 6 months, plus the price i paid.
100$ - worth every dollar.
30$ - great deal.
60$.
50$.
25$, psycho 1981 issue.
5$, original in VG.
Love this one D.. I also have the psycho repress. WHAT a record.
Cosign. Love this one although I had to then buy a reissue as well so I could actually hear it...
Not too pricey but here's another one which always lifts me...

very nice record! I am still looking for this one :-( "Play Harp" on Saba and "Harpadelics" on MPS are quality Lps as well.
