Compact line mixer reccomendations?

I need to update sometime in the next few months. I've been recording with this piece of shit mackie 1202 vlz pro 12 channel compact mixer. it needs to go. what would any of you reccomend as the next step up in compact mixers? I don't know how impressed I am with lower end mackie so i don't think i'll get another of those... what are some other brands with a good reputation right now? I don't hav a lot of room to work with and 12 channels is plenty. lemme know whats up.
