EL MICHAELS AFFAIR is all I need to be hearing right now, between their cover of "Walk On By," (better than the Isaac Hayes version?) and that new Shaolin Soul 7".
Their version of "C.R.E.A.M" is pretty dope as well.
I've basically stopped listening to jazz lately, it's all about classic artists now - Beatles, Prince, Sly, listening to Freak out! now. I've thought about learning to love the Stones, which would be a big step for me.

Been listening to a lot less hard funk recently in favour of more fusion and straight jazz.
Been desperately trying to find some new rock I like but failing miserably at the moment.
Me too. I'm trying, but I just can't get into tepid folk terds just yet (if ever).
What's good for me these days is 70s/80s electronic stuff like Klaus Schulze et al.
On the platter today:
Richard Pinhas - "Rhizosphere"
Conrad Schnitzler - "Conal"
Wlodzimierz Kontonski - "Electronic & Instrumental Music"
Sine bleeps and whitenoise percussion - yes please!
