Salut les strutters!I've been absolutely disgusted by the way Kweli & staff are working on the new logo they're after: they definitely don't wanna work and won't wanna pay neither... So, graphic heads, let's unite and work on what this tragic logo contest (industry & big money related) inspires you. I hope you'll be at this rendez-vous as much as you were on the last graphic thread. Work an hour for Kweli... You won't get paid for that but at least you will definitely use your freedom of speech! Here's my propositionHum... Hey moderators! I'm french and in France you're allowed to express yourself like I just did. I don't have an accurate knowledge of US laws so if you think this post might bring me two thousand megatons of troubles that I absolutely don't need, then please let me know, I'll do the necessary to avoid a bath of stincky doo doo with rap industry.

I keep hoping for new stuff... I'm sure some are working on it at this time (it's still early for US strutters)... Hey DOR, come back with another rude picture of yours. You were the most apreciated poster of the last graphic thread, don't you remember ?!

    Come on friends...

Out of all the fuckers in rap, you people have no one better to hate on than somebody like Talib? Y'all dudes never cease to amaze me, I swear.

I just think Noreille was illustrating that Talib is indeed "that real schitt."

Back in the days when I was into rap, I did really loved Talib Kweli's mood. I kept only a few rap records in my collection including Reflexion eternal plus Kweli's and Mos Def's debut 12 inches... I liked his state of mind, smooth rapping and involvement... Well, it was in '96 and a bit later and since then I'm not aware of what's happening in rap. So I don't know what Kweli's career turned to...

... But hey !!! He (or his manager) created a logo contest that is really insulting for any graphic designer. $ 1000 plus one day following Talib Kweli... That's it, straight in the ass! Your creation is not yours anymore and belongs to some major record company until eternity... SHIT ! That is insulting. How many is Kweli paid to write 3 rhymes?

By the fact, how turned Kweli's rapping since '96 or a bit later... Still creative or business oriented ???

C'mon, dude was never good. Could never really find the beat... please. He's one of the most overrated dudes out period. Let's not act like he was ever hot.

Im not a fan, but REFLECTION ETERNAL is that shit.

I cant say he has no merit. Dudes here are equating him w/ Insane Clown Posse or Andy Milanowkis.

That's apart of a further thread about people who's ears were "educated" with rap and left it because of megatons of stupid lyrics, gimmicks and commercial shit that were hidding its true creative potential (and perhaps its true creative artists)... I kept about a hundred of rap LPs, give them a spin from times to times and still apreciate.

Reflection Eternal's appeal has more to do with Hi-Tek than Talib to me. I always dude sounded rushed and akward on the mic.

Hil-arious. But as usual, the soulstrut mob mentality is a far worse look for all of youse than it is for the person you are attempting to clown. Y'all need a can of get-right. Eat some vegetables, walk with Jesus, do something healthy. Smoke a lyrical blunt, watch some porn. Get your spirit in check. I'm gonna pray for you tonight... hopefully it'll help keep your rotten, soulless asses out of the hell for which you are headed.

When did he go from backpackers delight to the human target? Just wondering. He's a serious punching bag for a lot of cats on here. Wasnt he mad loved a a minute ago?

he's a black man who doesn't rap about selling crack and treating women like hoes. I've even heard him talk about some sell out shit like getting an education, how is a mostly white group of "rap" fans supposed to respect that?

He hardly deserves the respect of a Jim Jones or Rick Ross

True, but werent his early Soundbombing tracks well celebrated by the caucasoids?

yes but those caucasoids grew up, finished college and realized that seeing a black man with equal footing in the world wasn't "keeping it real". I mean how can you make good post-collegiate music? no one wants to hear a rapper talking about surviving without doing illegal shit. Can you imagine an actual black person being able to say something worth listening to about raising a family, or even love? Thats the kind of subject that it feels more comfortable coming out of the mouth of other white people.

c'mon what seems more "real" to most hip hop fans?

    this

Its best if we keep black youth relegated to stories of ghetto hustling, especially drug dealing and pimping.

But those grown up caucasoids will suck on P.E. 'till the end of time but will shut down Talib Kwali.

I'm not a "fan" but this cat iz far from doo-doo.

No. If you read my post, I state that I am not and then later post a link to the thread with many altered album covers.
