had the pleasure of seeing Mark Farina Saturday night. his mushroom jazz set was cut short due to time constraints but he proceeded to drop hiphop acapellas over house tracks (namely Dwyck, The Chubster & Method Man) thru out the night. i know about hiphouse and all of that but is this a new trend for house DJs? hearing guru ride a four-on-the-floor thud is pretty much

    Some very good chunky house remakes of (mostly older) hiphop & r'n'b tracks pop up every year on white labels. This resulted in housedj's blending rapappella's in their set, very few can pull th??t off though.

    Jully Black "Sweat of Your Brow" (Jason Hodges remix) is a prime example of how it should be done.

    D.O.C. - Portrait of a Masterpiece was in plenty of house DJ crates back then. And Frankie Bones was known to drop some Kane and yell "Brooklyn Brooklyn" but then that's when House music had braeks.

    I like Armand Van Helden feat. Common - Full Moon. It's a disco loop with a four on the floor underneath, and Common seriously kicking it.
