I'm typically more of a Weekend Finds guy, but I think I'm starting to see the light.

Just found Lady Snowblood's solo album on my doorstep:
It has the song "Urami Bushi" as featured in KILL BILL, and the entire record is full of the same kind of mournful enka tunes, sometimes with fuzzed out guitars. Meiko Kaji is even badder than Tigarah. I'll be listening to this one a lot.
I got Jay White - Street Scene for a dollar The sleeve is in awful condition, but the record is in great condition Anyone know what year this was released though? I googled around and I'm seeing conflicting answers.
I got it at 2 day only antique sale... Didn't know every record was gonna be a dollar, and I didn't come prepared... I ended up having to walk 20 minutes carrying a box with 40 records. Pretty much killed my arms.
a few motown lp's from 69-74, thanks to the current thread edwin starr - WAR AND PEACE and HELL UP IN HARLEM
plus some 45's the parliaments - (i wanna) testify/all your goodies are gone (the looser's seat) (soultown) [what a 2-sider this one is!] benny poole - pearl, baby pearl/sorry 'bout that (solid hit) j.j. barnes - just one more time/hey child, i love you (scepter) judy white - somebody been messing/same (t neck) shades of blue - happiness/the night (impact) dee edwards - why can't there be love/hurt a little everyday (gm) the fabulous peps - gypsy woman/why are you blowing my mind (premium stuff) the dynamics - ain't no love at all/what would i do (cotillion)
I wasn't supposed to go record shopping today, but my lunchtime window shopping turned into spend-from-the-rent:
Local spot had the craziest 80's hip hop collection that I've seen in some time. All super-clean (most seem unplayed or extremely well cared-for) and just piles of titles from 85-91 or so, 3 full bins of it. I left behind a ton of good stuff, shit like Masters of Ceremony, Biz Goin' Off mint OGs, sealed 12" on all kinds of labels, Ultramagnetic 12's, etc. Boston strutters PM me and I'll blow up the spot for you. I was especially psyched to get the Super Lover Cee LP, don't think I've ever had this except maybe OG cassette. The mandatory MP3:
Got the Mexican beat comp in the mail, grabbed it cheap sealed from the Bay. Bit of a mixed bag, with a few tepid pop ballads, but a handful of gems like this cover of Light My Fire:
that movie looks awesome!!! Definately need to try and rent that one if I ever see it. I got these most recently and am very happy.
Is that VU an OG? From Amoeba?
I love it when amoeba misprices and leaves me standing there in the store all.... It is an og with the torso on the back AND the banana still in tact (in vg condition ) for....$8.00!?!!?

Scene plaese?
I don't feel like searching through the DVDs, but according to an online source:
It's the song that starts during the lesbian sex scene in the above preview.
I NEED THIS FILM IN MY LIFE. Best Japanese girl on girl prison stab em up flick I've never seen.
Available on USA DVD for about $10. And it IS as incredible as it looks. Cop it now.

Los Ovnis - Enciende Mi Fuego
but even better than that I liked this cool little minor
key track, with moody keys and a dope beat:
Chayito - Mi Amor Mi Amigo
The CCS & Donald Byrd I got free from a record store unwanted pile.
so are thier several different "Female Convict Scorpion" flicks?
