The Tom Scott & Leon lp are dupes if anyone needs them 1st time I've seen a copy of the isley's. The cover of "Ohio" is
The seperent power has the name Ted Schwartz written on the label. The funny thing is I bought about 20 of Ted's records 4 years ago @ a store over 30 miles away. Small world! The 45 has some serious fuzz w/ a serge cover from 97.
Just a couple of sealed Strata's in the mail today:
Burt Myrick: Live 'n Well - Chris described this to me as "bland straight-ahead jazz". Well, it is from the mid 60's, and personally I like this very much.
Sphere: Inside Ourselves
And that Panache 12" is still bordering on making my weekend.
last week or so, borrowed a camera so i can sell on the bay. happy to find that steamhammer for a buck. anyone know that fb worster? only google hits i get are two for sale, 19,000 yen and $300, doesn't sound that big to me. couple private acetates, one is a folk compilation w/ a couple cool tracks and the other is called 'jazz dance #5' w/ a garage fuzz instro and couple cool covers.
I found a copy just last month. The one I got has a different cover, its a paste on, which by the looks of it your's is too, I wonder how many different covers there are in total. Anyone have the Archivist book and can see if there is any info on this record. If not, my copy is in the mail and I'll report back when I get it. As far as the music goes, I like it, loner christian folk, some really good tracks, I don't now about $300 good, maybe thats due to rarity? I found it in NYC, its seems to be a NJ private press, out of curosity where did you find that copy crashcourse?
Saw a flyer for a yard sale in the hood that said records, so you know I changed course immediately. Nothing too hot, but big stacks and when she said twenty-five cents apiece, I went into "anything decent" mode:
Also hit two stores, only found one record at each, but I don't think I'll complain about either joint:
The version of "Kush" on "Swing Low" is getting multiple spins now. Such a great tune. The one he does with JATP In Europe is my favorite, but this one is additional fire.

ok-- here are records i picked up from a nice young woman who was selling her ailing mothers record collection. i was amazed at how incredible the collection was, and the excellent minty shape all of them were in. i have never come across a collection with as much quality jazz heat as this at one time. there was apparently some other 'record guy' that looked at the collection before me. i am supposing from the lack of miles, blue notes (i did get some og blue notes), and some of the early-mid 50s titles that the person probably scooped up some of the cream of the crop, but he obviously didn't pick up all of the goods. these were 2 bucks each, and i was happy to pay for it. ALL OG copies.
the next 2 photos are from thrifts, fleas, yardsales and at double decker--25 cents ea. to a buck each (w/exception of grant green's final comedown soundtrack --3 bucks)
bardot in that pic was 25 cents and is a minty limited promo copy called 'special' from her tv special. has her duets w/ gainsbourg--'comic strip' and bonnie and clyde on it--amongst a dozen other songs.
are & be is a private moder soul/boogie funk record from nyc put out in 82 .anyone on here know anything about them? seems raer???
legal weapon is early 80s cali punk. think gun club meetx x with patti smith styled vocals. king errisson 12" on westbound (dennis coffey/tom moulton mix--hollywood love song)

Does
anybodyK in Canada or JP know if there is adub/instro of the track "Civilize Reggae" from this album??
Mr. Rodney does a fine job over the top, but that backing track
is absolute pure scorching FIRE, and I would love to hear a dub...
