Today, all from the same spot:
I knew something was up when the usual store had suddenly expanded theNew Arrivals section from 2 bins to 5[/b]! Still, my jaw dropped whenI pulled the Sons of Truth. Such an amazing album, this made my week.I-Roy is some deep sounds.Thrift store stuff, all $.75 each:

Cher LP has a killer version of "Walk on Gilded Splinters!"Jackie Wilson album is real nice - some 1968 proto-disco on "Helpless"Voices of East Harlem is an awesome album, so soulful and definitely funky - just need the 3rd one now to complete the set.Johnny Lytle was sitting in a local spot for a while now, unplayed copy for $20 - I kept picking it up and leaving it behind, but this time I wised upand grabbed it while it was still there - I am really feelin Johnny Lytlealbums lately ... he just has such a great sound. I need more more more, these albums make my day everytime. 
Coverless and pretty much rinked, but still sounded so sweet comingout of my speakers. That real schitt.

Sons of Truth is prolly only VG/VG but plays great all the way through
and was around $12
Willie D is real nice and was 15
Eddie D & BBS is also only VG/VG visually but plays perfect and was 10
I think alot of these records are from W***e's collection, since
while R*b was away, he was working the used section and was bringing
in boxes of well-used but playable heat from his own stash, sold me
some out of the boxes and I assume saved some better stuff for when R*b
got back from tour. Or maybe not.

after over 20 years of shopping there, i was kicked out by the asshole owner with the glasses for the most ridiculous shit ever. Meanwhile used shops are of a dying breed...youd think hed want to make some $$
and sell some of the records that have been sitting there since 1982. Soon it will be Extincto's !!!
While dude was looking the brazilian stuff, I looked in a box full of OG jazz and found these records (didn't listen to them yet):

But dude got some luck too; I passed on an Atilla Zoller's Saba record, and a Prestige record he said is a holly grail (can't remember the names). Dude bought both.
And NevilleC gave me two EPs: Kidgusto's Basscomb express (Soulstrut represents!) and Ed Royal & DJ Enne's Gift of funk.
This was a lucky day for me & NevilleC.

I like The Hobbits record much more than I thought I would.
Cool Livin' is a x-ian record with some fuzzed out tracks, dude's voice is pretty bad.
FB Worster "God Don't Make Junk" is obviously private press gospel folk out of NJ. I really like this record, not too preachy, and its that Mama's organic granola food bin whatever stuff I think the west coasters would be into.
I'm curious about that Best of Band X album. Is that actually a compilation of earlier albums of theirs or was that their only album up to that point?

Metros was in a pile of 4 for $5.00 records.
The Bullet LP is kinda interesting.....side one is by a band called The Source and they do Byrds-like folk rock with 2 nice cuts. The flip is all instrumental cuts by Harley Hatcher....typical B-Movie slop with alot of percussion.
