good luck.
Micro Groove and Deep Groove pertain to to two completely different parts of the record. Micro Groove refers to how the record was cut (the actual grooves in the record that contain music) and at one time was some hot shit. Deep Groove is a term used by collecters and dealers and refers to the groove on the label just below the address on older Blue Notes (actually any older record has a deep groove) and helps prove it's authenticity and age. Other helpful things for dating Blue Note records are does it have a flat edge or a safety lip? Is there a registered trademark under the "E" on the Blue Note record label? Is there any writing printed on the spine of the jacket? Is the cover glossy with thick lamination? There are lots more little details that help date the pressing of a record, each letting you know whether it is "first state" (the most desirable, the absolute first pressing and first time the music has been put on wax) or not.
Deep Beats and micro grooves,

There's a shop in Toronto that used to put a sticker that said 'deep groove' on all of the club, house, and electronic records. I guess dude thought it pertained to the funkiness of the music!
