Oh, the 2600 King? Litterthugz reprazent! I was just bumping your orange tape the other day. Nice shot on the cover, guy. Most extremely high performance I must say.
I havent heard the new record. but I wish him much sucess. Hes a good dude for sure, pretty humble when I knew him, its sorta cool to see him blow up a bit.
I would always be running into him at record spots in boston and he was a fun guy to dig with.
I dont know about the new haircut though! He looks like ako to me.
i honestly liked the mystery of not knowing what-the-fuck edan looked like from when i first heard him in like '00 until a lil while back when i finally saw his picture on some press/interview or something. it felt like that was his approach too, he never had pictures of himself on anything he did (at least the stuff i had seen). with his out-there recording techniques and exaggerations , it was just kinda cool to consider the dude as a "sole mysterious musical/vocal entity", if yoaming.

How disappointing it must have been to learn that he looks just like our man Bizzo...
Really? It's been a few years. I forgot what he was complaining about. Fudge?
Are you sure you completed that assignment, Anna? The whole book is pretty unforgettable...
I got an A! I swear! I remember the Prof was kinda hot. But that's about it.
I read about 50 books a year and I can't remember the end of any of them save one or two, that's just how my brain makes room for all this record KNOWLEDGE that I hold

not really, more like your boy CPR, speaking of which, while I was out in the wilderness was the whole ATCQ/CPR connection revealed?

o, why can't he just be a good mc thats white without being accused of minstrelsy?
I didn't say I thought he was. What I said is that I don't think it's a non-topic. There's a big difference b/t the two.
And Faux - I REALLY want to know your list of brilliant albums right now. Rap or otherwise.
ME TOO!
Actually, I just want to hear the rap ones....
Guys, there may some confusion in that you think I am referring strictly to current releases.
I'm not.
But I don't really see the purpose of me listing the contents of my crates. They're reflective of my personal taste--my personal conception of "brilliance"--and little else.
I'm wondering why everybody finds this idea so mystifying. Like if you have a big collection of records that you don't to believe to be brilliant, then what the f**k are you doing? Engaging in the relentless persuit of mediocrity?

I think people are just curious as to exactly what sort of music you like since you so consitently (albeit eloquently) hate on most of the music people talk about on SS.

Are you talking about the album "Architecture"? That's the only Edan project I'm not feeling.

ME THREE - come on dude, bless us with the knowledge.

yes. How come Dwight Spitz never appeared on wax out here in the Bay, was it a west coast dist. thing or what? Anyone know the deal?
whenever I hear Portnoy I think of my Jewish American Fiction class at UCLA:

That's a slab of liver. I'll just suggest going back and refreshing your memory...

Some people are mending their ways.
