Young Regatta aka Faux_Rillz turned 29 on Saturday, so I threw a *surprise* brunch in his honor...Yeah, I took it there with the internet nerd theme.

Apologies to Emynd for putting him on the spot and making him explain it to all of the non-Strutters!

    Dude's been justifying his (sensitive) thug for a minute now, though--real heads are up on the little-known "Danny Verde" solo release on Uptown, Illin' In A Nude Mode, from, like, '94 or '95, back when dude was still hungry, still had the good hair:







    I can't find my scan of the back cover, but kid's definitely reaching out to the ladies, finessing an orange vest and a smooth chest a la Jodeci, or maybe H-Town. Can it be that it was all so simple then? I will say, though, that the Spanglish slow-jam on there, "Mi Alma P??lido," still gets 'em misty.
