This was the best the ARC has been the last couple of years, even complete with an Ebay University booth to show the non-city folk how to sell their records for anything else but $1.

Yes indeed that is a photo of Mr. Kinney pulling what appears to be a Mel Brown album from one of my beatup ass boxes at the San Diego show. I understand the Austin show is much much bigger although I have never been myself.
It has been rumored in recent lore that there does not exist a record show that is more fun, fair priced, heat packin', quaint, and ALMOST completely void of ego than the San Diego Record Show. But who can really say for sure.
And since I'm on the subject of shameless self promotion......
Don't sleep on the next SD show in less than 2 weeks! Those on the inside are predicting a favorable buyers market.
P.S. Please hit me up if you don't hear the audio on the front page. I'm expiramenting with various mime types.
fav 45 halleluiah chorus - i've got to find a way/instrumental # one
favorite private(that i've had time to listen to so far) - sweet street
great time meeting/hanging out with folks too: nrich, aleit, cool chris, sureshot, waxploitation fellas and all the rest I saw at my house, the show, or hotel.
That dreaded dude next to him is my homie Willow. Ask this dude to scratch for you. He will melt your fucking face. He's on that Sound In Color label as well holla

I just got a call from Aleit dood made out with fany int'l rackords and hustled 45s and LPs like none other. The dood killed it with six words
"I SOLD MY SOUL LIFTERS 45"
shhhh.....
the show was pretty good anthony. i sold more than i bought but managed to come home with some odd pieces. some odd private things, some latin lps, some nice nigerian stuff, lots of really cool reggae.... oddball soul 45's, funk, etc. It was good times. we missed you out there.
a couple shows back the owner of Nighthawk records (a reggae reish company) had a table.. thousands of OG JA 45s all at $5 a pop. White guy who looks like Morton Downey would if he was a heavier smoker.

anyone go to the " psych moves " party?
was the show any good or was it BUTT?
see any hairy asscracks?
you dirty hippy, you
the hotel party? was mind numbing while I was there. deep african records, agape xian pysch, suds and smoke vaporized
asscrack seen. the show was not butt though.
it was at least comparing it to the LA shows I used to go to 5-6 years ago.
I bought most of my 45s off AJ, about 200 of them. all funk and various soul. some deep pieces.
I bought my private records off Rich from Dallas, about 35 of them in all.
