i think it's some madlib inspired iconoclast bullshit, but to each his own, right?
What is this Jay Dee inspired by Madlib bullshit?
I don't get what that is all about.
Anyway, plaese to explain so I can strike it through.
Thanks.
Yeah ... I kinda thought it was the other way around but I may be wrong...I havn't heard the new dilla yet ..He has definatley made some bangers throught the years.
I'm not a hatter, I like this instru LP but I don't think that's the best shit Dilla has made.
I honestly don't think this is intended at an "LP". We all know that Dilla can do a full album, that BBE record was way more involved as far as album content goes. MCs, the remake of "Think Twice", that's an album.
This is just a release lots of beats, some better than others, but it's hard to deny the creative intensity that they possess. And on the real, if dude is sick and needs some income, I can see putting Donuts out as a way to supplement for hospital bills.

I don't think if Dilla needed some extra money he would solve his problem by putting out an instrumental album on Stones Throw. He could probably make more money selling a couple beats to high profile rappers.
Answer: I remember going to the record stores with my father. The first record I remember buying was ???Open Sesame ??? by Kool And The Gang on 7???. I used to go to the record stores like every week and buy whatever was new on 7???. I was so spoilt ???cos I had all the records. Then I got into Jack McDuff. ???I used to got to sleep listening to that shit, ???that???s where the jazz inluence came from. Album wise is started buying jazz first ??? then a lot of soul...
Question: ...Labels
Answer: A lot of Verve, definitely CTI, Disco labels Salsoul Started buying records in 1989 Re- started collecting records in 1995. Production came from DJ???ing. I was curious about how records were made.

So, I think that the "STOPDISRESPECTFELHATTIN" graemlinshould be something like
with Jay Dee (no Biz) sayin' "STOPDISRISPECFELHATTIN"

Humm... are you a "fan" or something..?
I don't know why fools hate on this record.

What do you think?
Oh no this might turn into a CTI thread.
Copping pleas!
"I honestly don't think this release was intended to be 'good'..."
I still am waiting for the magical concept record, a hip-hop-Norte??o affair:
plus
equals
Who said that?
..it cant, and it doesnt.
it also doesn't compare to his "Fuck The Police"
or his Pharcyde Remixes etc.
on its own, in my opinion its a good listen through and through.
