donnu yet if i feel that mallard beat, but beatchemists stuff is definetly rockin it. bapt, cant check that myspace player doesnt work with safari. sad thing.
i never really post in these because i dont really have any good equipment to record and arrange my stuff on but here's some rough sketches that aren't mixed and just sampler ===> soundcard. once i get a good computer i'll probably arrange and mix these. i kind of like them. if you hate them, you can tell me. if you like them, you can play them for your friends and say you made them yourself. enjoy.
doggone drums? i like that other beat you posted too. dope shit.
Taza One - your shit's hot on some other shit. I'm not sure what that means, but I was digging those tracks a lot. the other one more than the pac man, but dope. chop and screw the first one and then do a dub remix, take over the world.
M_DeJean - I made a few similarly weird moog/synth tracks once upon a time. it's not as hip hop as this one but it has a similar vibe. Those types of sounds are fun to make beats with.
Martin - thought the second one you posted was real dope. drums sounded good and crisp.
Beat Syentist - checked a couple on your page, some solid shit. couple bangers, couple decent ones. bet you got a lot of records.
eric - those tracks were real nice, soulful, classic sounding. not a fan of such simple drum programming but it worked for these. dope.
grumble - that shit was hard as fuck. yours? nice.
yesterdays - obviously you're writing songs not just making beats. nice song. agree with day, had a nice feel to it. the nas remix sounds dope. does need that bassline. but it's nice either way.
jaokim - first one, drums sound good in the mix. pretty simple, dig it though. second one, kinda weird melody, i like weird melodies. i dig the syncopation on this one.
DK Essence - kenny g make me want to throw up but you did well with the beat. the interlude has a dope swing to it. reminds me of some soundtrack shit.
ARE - re: beat medley - the strings toward the end of the medley are fresh
CaMKIIa - I checked 2 of them and wasn't feeling either so I didn't listen to any more.
I think I got everybody. let me dig up some beats to post.
Some of the beats posted are not that but definitely moneymoneymoney if you have the right outlets for them. Some of the others are madcrazy and are more interesting to listen to IMO.
My contribution that I should have posted in the last remix thread but wussed out. It's not money, but hopefully interesting:
i just made a soundclick page, there's some old beats on now. one's more rockish, ones more electronicish, and the other is a reinterpretation of Papa Was a Rolling Stone.
Yeah, y'all are great with the feedback, especially Taza and GB. I'm sorry to say that I haven't listened as extensively as they have, but I really like these beat posts. It's inspiring to hear what you cats got cooking.
Spliff, that remix is interesting, but the vocals are a little low in the mix. Taza, I like the way you play around with the horns on that rub beat, and the drums have a nice live feel to them. Eric, your beats have a real nice vibe to it, but sometimes the 'stumbling' drums work against the underlying samples instead of accentuating them.
Alright, I'm off to a gig now. Feel like getting drunk tonight. Have a nice saturday night everyone!
mallard - that meist file is nice! i love shit that i would never make but i like a lot. pretty unique.
you never know my beatmaker friend. sometimes the samples make the beats themselves and lead you to places you'd never, even in your wildest dreams, think you'd find.
my first real attempt at using fruityloops for sequencing. never finished it but youll get the idea. was trying to make a beat different from what i usually do. couldnt get the sound exactly how i wanted it, either...but lemme know what you think..haha

ah new ending, atleast from the version i have of it.. killer stuff as always! now you just need 5000$ for some ghostface & raekwon verses. and we got a dope 12"!
hahah! That pic! Does that dood have grey spray in his hair?? LOL. He either looks like he's posing for the camera or he's about to start swinging that pole at he camera man. He's also about the same size as that pole. LOL
Sorry, changed my url for soundclick, can't edit post. If nobody has peeped, please do. I ended up getting 17 new and old tracks up. Might be something you dig on there.
Comments

Well, Delay says I hate rap, but I like to think of it as loud drums. Thanks anyway, I think.
like it, but the hihats in the beginning are too loud
beatchemist - that demo track is nice and the charts is fucking ridiculous! i love it.
still listening to the rest...
