How do you guys listen to your records most frequently? Headphones? Super nice high end systems? Or just basic shit? Just curious. Peace out.

I like my speakers how I like my women: big, old, cheap and used. I try not to mess with headphones too much... not good for your ears or sanity. Current amp is a mid 70s Technics jobbie with the polished alu look, before that was a reconditioned Harman Kardon that was less than $150 I think. Also have some M-Audio SP-5B monitors hooked up to my PC.

I'm so sure they're for your wife. I just bought my wife a 24 Karat Black Lp.

  • I have a couple of older systems that I rotate every couple of months. My wife still allows me to run a modest system in our living room.

    Hey Lamar,

I listen to my sounds on the following components:

    -NAD Stereo Integrated Amplifier 317.

-NAD 553 turntable (along with a phono pre-amp).

-Boston Acoustics VR960R speakers (with monster copper cables).

    -Sony Double-Disc audio CD recorder/player (RCD-W1).

-Yamaha Natural Sound Stereo Cassette Player (KX-393).

My sounds gotta sound right, ya heard?

    Peace,

Co-Sign on the Grado Labs, I jsut got a pair of SR-125's. Very nice. Too bad you can't rock them on the bus/subway 'cause they're open air and everyone is going to hear the Leo Sayer your blasting.

I just use my 1200's through my RANE mixer to some studio monitors I bought (Event TR6). Very nice combo for the home.

Nope Ako, it's just a regular rectangular shaped cassette deck.
