That's actually written by my good friend, Jorma Taccone and his partners,
fellow UCLA alums, Andy Samberg and Akiva Shafer, they are part-time
rappers and hip hop producers, all new writers (and Andy's a featured
    player) at SNL this season.

You can see more stuff like that at their website:

After getting pilots for Fox and Comedy Central passed on, they finally got
their break at SNL, maybe they can prevent the show from completely sucking.

One of them must live in that building. That front stoop has been in a couple of sketches this year (the one where they're sitting around eating whole heads of lettuce)...

ZIIIIINNNNNG!!!!! oh man, almost got a hernia on that one.

everything in my head told me I should have hated that video, but I laughed the entire time.

i saw some video of Samberg on the net called Kablamo or something that was pretty weak. Young Einstein and Ugly Duckling need to battle those fools.

the Narnia thing was inspired though. props.

  • I thought that was hilarious. "Honey actin' like she never seen a ten before"

I shared it w/ my co-workers and I don't think they got why I was laughin so hard.

Oh well, thanks for the link.

  • I usually don't get excited for the whole whiteboys ironic rapping thing but this actually has some funny moments. Is Magnolia bakery really that good? I never had the patience for the line.

  • Anyone have an mp3 of Chris Parnell's "Kirsten Dunst Rap"? Please to share if so.

Maybe it's because, despite the irony, they actually have decent flow. I mean, the whole "7L and Esoteric" joke is only funny because it's kidn of true. Close your eyes and I swear, it's like Chino XL on that skit.

    Rap is outta control.

    People need to

    and recognize the real.

Damn, I didn't catch this the first time:

    "you'd think we're Aaron Burr/the way we're dropping Hamiltons"

    That's actually...a pretty good line.

That's my boy Jorma on the left, he produced the Narnia beat as well. It's funny because I stopped watching SNL a few weeks ago because it sucks mostly and Jorma calls me Saturday night and says I have to watch and I'm like "what part is yours?" and he's like "You'll know when you see it" and now shit has the internet going nuts to quote Mr. Wall, I hope this means that my boys get some more shine, they've been producing these mini-movies every week but they usually don't make it to air, seems like this is reaching "rick james bitch" proportions.

And what makes it funny is a. they can rap and b. they aren't being serious AT ALL

    you left out this part:
This Saturday Night Live routine is pretty much my nightmare, like people telling me they really like Danger Mouse, even though they don't usually like rap. [/b]What is difficult to process that, while hideous on paper, this routine is quite good, both as comedy and as a piece of rap music, even the delivery. If the track isn't a Sir Jinx production I've forgotten, it's an impressive mimicry of the original idea. (Thanks to Jenn Lena for the link.)

i generally like the lonely island guys and i'm glad they're getting that snl paper, but this is just not funny to me. and i think everyone's being way to generous to say that this track is musically good. the beat is nice, samberg is alright but only in a trying to sound like the beastie boys way, but parnell is pretty bad.
