started back up working on these, scanned this off a 45 and it was looking shady, so i basically re-made it, tracing over the original to get the proportions right.

Does anyone here know howto "vectorize" a jpg without having to redraw everything by themselves? I have Photoshop/Imageready/Freehand/Fireworks. I don't own a scanner right now but this image has been shot at highres with my digicam. asprin perhaps?

Photoshop:



- use magic want to click and select one of the black shapes



- Go to the select menu and click on "similar"



- turn the selection into a 'work path' in the Path window



- export path to illustrator



** note: this works best with hi-res scans at 400ppi or higher**

theres an app called "streamline" from adobe which does that very well. i have it on mac and it's only runnin on classic os... check out

Thanks for all the awesome scans.
I am keen to get illusatrator CS2 in the past I have used Flash to vectorise jpegs (trace bitmap) and then resize them in Flash and export them again as jpegs. It works ok. Does anyone want to trade some CS2 (photo shop and illustrator PC) for some Audio apps (PC) (DVD full of the latest shit.PM me for details)
