And Ramsey Lewis as well.
the og is the best IMO.. but the temprees version is nice too.
can you post it?
Yeah,
I really like the Milt Jackson version from the Sunflower LP. A killer!
Young-Holt Unlimited did also a dope version of this song, its on their "...Plays Superfly" LP. Comptons Most Wanted also sampled this one on their Straight Checkn'Em LP...
Michael Jackson's i likey
Big co-sign on that. Hard as nails.
Traditional
- The Sylistics
- Pharaohs
Modern
- carl craig's innerzone orchestra
- Jazz Liberatorz
Peace
On which album do I find this one?
I need this, plaese.
And I have to go with the OG for me. The Ramon Morris, Milt Jackson and O'Donel Levy versions are dope but nobody's fucking with the original IMO. I think it's the vocals that do it para mi.
I'd like to hear all these other one's. Can anyone post some sound?
i'm pretty sure shadow used several versions on that song. the o levy was definitely one of them, no question. and maybe the freddie hubbard polar a/c one.
I'm not at home right now but tomorrow I'll post it for ya.
Murder.
