Ramon Morris ranks up there with my all-time favorite versions.

    And Ramsey Lewis as well.

  • o'donel levy version is nice on some jazz guitar shit, and of course all of the cti versions are good.

  • dee dee bridgewater and milt jackson's cti versions

    Yeah,

I really like the Milt Jackson version from the Sunflower LP. A killer!
Young-Holt Unlimited did also a dope version of this song, its on their "...Plays Superfly" LP. Comptons Most Wanted also sampled this one on their Straight Checkn'Em LP...

    Young-Holt Unlimited ..."Plays Superfly" LP.

    I need this, plaese.

And I have to go with the OG for me. The Ramon Morris, Milt Jackson and O'Donel Levy versions are dope but nobody's fucking with the original IMO. I think it's the vocals that do it para mi.

Profile - Sands Of Time has a dope dope version. Sounds like DJ Shadow used the Ramon Morris bass and the guitars of the Profile verison for his version (Blackalliscioues)???
