I need an ill version of the Carpenter's 70's hit "We've Only Just Begun". Jazz or soul instrumental preferred (not the O'Donel Levy version though), but any suggestions are appreciated. I like the "Curtis Live!" version a lot... "A lot of folks think this particular lyric is not appropriate for what might be considered underground... but I think underground is whatever your mood or your feelings might be at the time, so long as it's the truth". HOW YOU NOT GON' LUH THAT?

hahahaha! same here. and to make things worse:

we've only just begun to live
    white lace and promises
a kiss for luck and we're on our way
    and yes, we've just begun

before the rising sun we fly
    so many roads to choose
we start our walking and learn to run
    and yes, we've just begun

sharing horizons that are new to us
watching the signs along the way
talking it over just the two of us
    working together day to day
    together

and when the evening comes we smile
    so much of life ahead
we'll find a place where there's room to grow
    and yes, we've just begun

No doubt, an ode to early anorexy by Karen Carpenter.

  • We need to come up with a rating system for J.LO's (a moniker he bestowed upon himself) wisecracks. Sometimes his remarks are on point and hilarous, other times they are tired and trite.

I know, sometimes is hard to meet my fans high expectations. I'm a star, but I'm also a human being, with my ups and downs, just like everybody else. It's lonely up here.

And now, let's give this thread back to Phill...

    Yo Phill,

If you want I can upload these 2 for you, both @ 320K; although the Port Authority's is a vocal version.
