I scanned them on a Windows machine, added them to a .zip, put them on my FTP, downloaded them onto my Apple. What'd I do wrong?

what program are you trying to open them in?

  • Could it be a problem with the unzipping on the mac?
Maybe .sit is the preferred format?

Jeff, tried to open them with Photoshop. That failed. Tried to open them with Viewer so I could take a screen shot. That failed. Tried Adobe Illustrator. That failed.

I'll just redo them tomorrow in the Mac lab because I'm really out of options at home.

  • Sometimes when taken from a PC they need to have an extension to recognise what file they are ie: photoimage.tif[/b]
So maybe add the '.tif' extension if it isn't there.
Helps it to work out what kind of file it is. Sometimes this works...

    They all have that extension.

  • If photoshop won't open them your probably screwed. Try going to photoshop and doing file -> open instead of dragging the file to the ps icon. Also graphics converter might do the trick.
