The Dee-Gees
yikes, I had not heard of this. mega vanity project vibe coming off this. why are you doing this dave. you have a successful band that is unfortunately incapable of making this not suck.
everybody in the comments just seems delighted they're doing it, but I think normally if a huge star artist does a cover they make sure, for the sake of their reputation as artists, that it doesn't suck. it's this tongue in cheek car-karaoke-style half assedness that annoys me. like it doesn't have to be good or real in any way because it's funny to see dave grohl, you know, from nirvana, doing disco! -

Funny Biz Markie stories and appreciation thread!
With all the stories people shared here I just keep thinking of how the dude was a walking source of comedy and joy even OUTSIDE all his music.
And charisma! I remember hearing him covering "Benny and the Jetts" in the most out-of-key, mush-mouthed forgetting the lyrics kind of style, just absolutely terrible singing by conventional standards, and the crowd going APESHIT like it was the beatles on ed sullivan or some shit. I still think that's the best version of that song I ever heard. -
TAKE THAT SHIT TO THE-BRITS.COM
heavy "st george flag as cape" street fashion today.
my hope is, given the game starts right as my kid goes to bed, three goals to one team (either) in the first 15-20 minutes. that way there's no need for game drama and therefore gut-shot-squealing neighbor drama past 8:30 or so. just nice boring possession ball for 75 minutes, polite celebration that's already been deflated by 75 minutes of boredom, and my kid gets a night's sleep.
