Recent Finds
"On Any Sunday" soundtrack: I already have a copy but the cover was too moldy and trashed by water damage, so I threw it away and just kept the record. Bassist Carol Kaye, who I met at an appearance at a small music shop event related to screening for the doc's 40th anniversary, signed the label. So now I have an extra copy, albeit coverless, for trade.
Noah Young: self-released jazz out of southern California from a bassist-turned-psychologist. A blog entry from a friend of his (http://gapplegatemusicreview.blogspot.com/2013/11/noah-young-unicorn-dream.html) can describe this one more articulately than I can.
Doug Hammond: a legit 2018 reissue involving Hammond's son.
Atmospheres: like the concurrent "Voyage To Uranus" (huh huh) from '74 also on Capitol, this is easy to find, underrated fusion.
Marion Brown: first release on Arista/Freedom which is a reissue of a '67 concert in Holland.
Howard McGhee was recorded during his late 70s comeback period and released on the Danish Jazzcraft label. -

I MUST CRY (KPM SCORE RELATED)
Here's a track from "Futures"
I wouldn't lose sleep over it. I spent hours looking through a lot more than two large boxes of mostly early 80s libraries early this year. I was very selective even at a few bucks per record and the ability to listen beforehand. "Science class safety video" vibes on many on them. At best, you will get a one-tracker that is at most 2 minutes long. Even a green KPM isn't a guarantee of anything worthwhile. -
Donald Trump for President!
I don't understand the "fraud" idiocy he is spouting. I don't know how other states/districts do things, but from experience, I know this is not the case.
I volunteered as a poll worker ten years ago at a non-eventful California primary election because I was unemployed and wanted to meet new people. Any time I dipped out to go to the bathroom or the snack machine, my "supervisor" would watch me like a hawk. And there was another person who kept an eye on her.
That's the issue with these conspiracy theories. It's impossible for "everybody" to be "in on it".
When even the hard right people I know say, "Biden's a good guy" or "Trump fucked himself with all the tweeting and name calling", you know it's over. Step down, asshole.
