I think DBA is gone now. What I heard anyway and if you go down they it looks liek it's true.

That area is a little funny geograpically speaking. The city lines are defined in a weird way. It's real near to Berkeley but it's in the Rickridge area of Oakland. And Saturn is on College Ave. in the Oakland side so why is it considered Berkeley??
-
Groove Yard moved. They are now near a freeway onrap. Couldn't tell you exactly though.

Groove Yard in Oakland

I saw Audioslave a few months back. Awesome show. Yeah I saw Audio Slave in SF maybe a month ago. Good Show. The last Hip Hop Show I went to was the Giant Panda, PUTS, and Crown City show in a small loft.

Serato isn't even a thought right now and to see a local DJ spinning CD's or using Serato live instead of records cause their too lazy to take two hours worh of music to the club or a show is bullshit. I don't want to see that. Might as well stay ho…
-
I think Serato is dope for the traveling artist/DJ cause with all the bullshit you have to go through in the airport and on the plane, and teh weight of vinyl for the traveler is a hassle. Plus there's a high risk of losing your vinyl while travelin…

didn't think fools were going to get all snobby on me when someone like Odub posted about Jay Z the other day and shit. what does that even mean? That means that Odub, no disrespect to Odub cause I know him actually posted about Jay Z the other d…

Yes I think restrictions are a good thing. It forces you to be creative and do what you have to to make some dope shit. I think that's why the SP1200 is so great cause it's so limited with memory and function like you have to use your ears a lot mor…

Well oosi thanks for the info and coming through with a solid answer. I appreciate all the help from you and whoever gave me a real answer. Peace.
-
Well fuck I was just using teh madlib association as an example, didn't think fools were going to get all snobby on me when someone like Odub posted about Jay Z the other day and shit. My intentions were to find out some real scoop on that machine t…

No I don't need one. I got my MPC and Sp1200 so I don't need that shit I was just wondering cause someone I know is set on getting one and I wanted to know specifics before he goes down and check it out. But like I said it's cool.
-
Come on, I want testimonials not Roland specs. It's cool though.
-
i have one. i like it Tell me how you hook up beats. Can you lay down a sample, have it loop and layer sounds on top of that. Can you mute tracks. School me..
-
Ok so how do you do it? how do you program drums on top of your sample? You can't over dub either?
-
what hype? just because madlib uses it it's hyped? i actually have a friend who owns one, he says the sequencing on it sucks. drums sound nice on it though, and the general functions seem pretty easy to use. i've never used it myself, though. Where…

I don't understand why some of you hate so much. What's wrong with selling records to cartoon fans ? It's not like they jump on some bandwagon, Dangerdoom made beats for Cartoon Network years ago. And Doom has been sampling cartoons since KMD : Sesa…

Yeah that Ohmega Watts album is nice. I'v had that internet snippet problem before too. I'd listen to something and get it and one verse is dope or the beat turns out to not sound so good. Happens all the time. Other times you just know it's nice.
-
I just listened to a bunch of sound samples online and I didn't like it. Boring all around. I didn't think it would be possible to sample Soul Thing and make it boring. Talk about easiest damn sample to make a banging track out of. I don't know much…
-
I'm going by what people have said on this forum. The fact that people on here are comenting on an album that they admit haven't even listened to it yet. And the fact that people keep talking about production techniques like there's a standard formu…
-
I don't know man I think everyone is over analyzing the whole concept and the sound of the album. Who cares how they put it together or who could do better. To me it's a funny solid album, that's it!
-
I liked the album too. I usually don't go for Doom stuff, mainly cause the beats but Danger Mouse hooked this one up. I can finally listen to something of his all the way through. Anyway, I can believe they cleared everything, I mean shit it took th…
