I think it's likely "Vance McCray" but still haven't been able to locate any info about the record online.
-
At least you didn't get caught with some stuff on you. That wouldn't have gone well at all.
-
I think consigning it is a good idea. Send it over to CarolinaSoul, FunkYou, or Paperstax to get top dollar since it is an unknown record.
-
I've never seen it and can't find any info about it online. Nice find. Wanna sell it?

Let there be Jazz looks cool

Bee Gees were bottom of the the barrel disco to begin with.

Picked up the Music on Vinyl 180 gram reissue of Placebo - Ball of Eyes. The only OG copy posted for sale right now is listed for $1300. It's the only copy so they can ask what they want I guess. The sound quality on this reissue is really good thou…

I didn't actually know this song before your post. I went down the Google rabbit hole. I searched for the lyrics and found a Donny Osmond cover of the track which was written by David Huff. Then David Huff lead me to the OG track by his band David a…

Packing the records tightly in the box helps insulate them some and also helps prevent them from getting storage warp because they won't have room to flex in either direction.

I wish Discogs could prevent that somehow.

Seriously. Same MF'ers reposting the same overpriced records daily.
-
Nice. I like it.

Haven't seen Lakan for a while. He was coming to the Austin Record Convention some years back but it's been several years now since we hung out last.
-
That's how they are able to keep it free (and legal) unfortunately.
-
They probably only made one and she's now wearing it at the truck stop.
-
A lot of the boogie records I buy aren't available in Austin so I have no choice to mail order them if I want a copy.

A couple mailbox finds

I picked up a copy of that Kenyatta last month at Goodwill. The cover was rough but the record was clean so I couldn't pass it up for a buck.

I don't see anything about it online.

I was always kind of weirded out by the sound the rattan makes when you sit in it. It makes a stretching sound when it rubs together like it's about to break but doesn't.

It puts the 45 on the skin or something something

There are a few LA Express records but I guess I haven't ever paid attention to the fact that there was another LP with that other belt buckle on it.

Some videos to go along with a few of the recent finds
