Just found SoulStrut the other day (google searching for funk mixes I believe, if that helps the mods etc.) so thought I'd jump in head first and say hello. Seems to be a nice mix between good hip-hop through to the much funkier stuff, sounds perfect to me.

I look forward to both vinyl discussions and dropping bad jokes here and there.

    Haha yeah I'm ex-pat from just outside Brighton, been in Orlando for 6 years now.

    Used to be DJ John Steed but everybody assumed my name was John so I dropped it, not sure how I didn't see that one coming to be honest...

    It's cool to drop UK Hip-Hop in Orlando and see people look up when they hear something different to the norm. For those interested, Witness (One Hope) kills it in the US too!

    Doesn't help when that smiley face looks a bit camp. I do realise I moved from the gayest place in the UK to the second gayest place in the US (where the magic happens) though...

    kingcro...yes that Juan Solo. thats my dude. had some fun times when i used to go down to orlando a little about ten years ago. know him through diplo who is now doing other things with his life (see other thread).

    I'd say Thriller I reckon, because it's the only one of the two I've got on wax. Actually not because of that, more because of Billie Jean really. Although I will admit I'm more Jackson 5 than MJ solo

    I'm pretty sure that was sincere, I'm just too used to being on forums full of people who aren't so welcoming so it's almost like I feel that was a trap!!!

    Seriously though thanks mate, seems pretty cool here so far.

    Except for yuichi's comment, he should know the only reason I have vinyl record patterns on my sheets is because it matches my Batman comforter
