I posted this once awhile back. At first I'm like, yeah not bad. Then around 1:50 I'm like that's pretty good. But then at around 2:25 I'm like :face_melt:
And while many know who Yo-Yo Ma is, I'm still betting 90% of the worlds population doesn't. But 99% probably don't know who Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer & Chris Thile are. And I enjoy their Jammin' the fuck out in this vid.
i can celebrate virtuosity, but i can't help but feel that for many people the appreciation of such performances is based solely on the notion that fast means good. like the musical equivalent of a michael bay action sequence, it's technically impressive but just has TOO MUCH HAPPENING.
that attaboy video is an exception; that is really good.

increidble technical skill, but a lil robotic from section to secion. plus her elbows are real pointy.
nah, for real, obviously she is skilled, just lacking a little feeling.
