Do any rappers put out acapellas these days?

I'd like to have a go at remixing people like Curren$y and Danny Brown, but don't seem to be able to find any acapellas - is it just the case that no one puts them out now? Due to the lack of hip hop vinyl releases?

Yeah, when physical singles stopped being made a lot fewer versions would get released of a song (even though there is no ceiling on how much can be released digitally)... seems like its usually just clean/dirty now, instrumental if you are lucky.

Request an mp3 from the artist.

I always seem to see compilations of them floating round DatPiff etc but never bothered checking them so can't confirm that they aren't just crudely stripped from the standard release.

Good call - I've tried this with a couple of people before, I think they tend to be understandably protective...still, worth keeping pursuing.

    Thanks
