Copenhagen recommendations

I'll spend the next week in Copenhagen visiting a friend of mine. She's only there since 3 weeks and I'm sure
she doesn't know the good spots yet.
Tips on recordshops, fleamarkets, sights, museums, clubs, good restaurants would be highly appreciated.

Get in touch with Soulstrut's main Danish cat, Upskiboo, he knows all about Copenhagen and is one of the OG's there. There's lots of record shops scattered throughout the whole city, you can definitely get some stuff there. In case you are loaded and have a time constraint, please make sure to visit "CAN Records". The owner Martin knows his stuff and has reasonable prices for rare stuff usually. In case Upskiboo is busy, please get at me on the pm, I will hook you up with people who will sort you out. Copenhagen is most definitely one of the best cities in Europe when it comes to record shopping, but you will need money to get along - not only for records, but also to make a living. Afterall, it is one of the most expensive cities on the main land. Enjoy!

MDejean is another danish strutter you can get in touch with. Nice guy (Hi M*rtin!).

My favourite cafe in Copenhagen is Banker??t, on Norreport. Great food and lovely surreal decor with stuffed exotic animals dressed up in biker gear and a giant Rolling Stones-logo type mouth as a urinal.

One thing I always do in Copenhagen is buy DVDs. Guess it depends on where you live and what the prices are like there but they're much cheaper than in Sweden, at least. There's a huge DVD store, Fona, near Kungens nytorv. Great selection and prices, lots of Blu Rays too. Nothing like it in Stockholm at least...

Not a Soulstrut OG like the two other Danes, but I'd be happy to help you out as well. What sorts of food and clubs are you going for? As for museums, a trip to Louisiana up north is a must. Beautiful scenery and a world-class art museum.

What is Christiania like these days? I visited it back in January 1997, but I'm sure its much different now. I thought it was a trip back then, especially "Pusher Street", but what can I say, I was in college. Anyways, depending on what's going on there now, it might be an interesting part of town to check out. The locals can say more, of course, and may even tell you to stay away.

Christania is still a nice place to visit, especially in the summer time, lots of outdoor activity going on, like concerts and stuff..

but you should haul ass if there's a police crackdown/ confrontation coming on, that happens once in a while, and can get pretty rough

Oh we postponed it bc of rain, so it's this Saturday Sep 3rd, from 12-5 at Ricco's Coffeeshop on Stefansgade in N??rrebro.

YES!!!! I'll be there! I'm really looking forward for this one. S.erato is a no go, isn't it? My lugage in the airplane is limited to 20kg in total, to smuggle in some vinyl might me a hard task. Maybe I take some 45s with me...

I'm already here and I brought a habdfull of records with me. Unfortunatly not so much I would like to bring because
my friend asked me to fill up my suitcase with booze instead of records, but maybe I'll find something interesing tomorrow
on my way to the cafe.

Great! Yeah, the idea is to share your vinyl treasures, from the rare to the common and overlooked, but it's pretty open to what people feel. You can maybe hit some charities in N??rrebro on your way there and pick up some Danish gospel or schlager jawns... Or there's Second Beat on Jagtvej near the coffeeshop and a small record/art boutique on J??gersborggade around the corner...
