Just got from the movie with the fam.

1st off, I give it the thumbs up.

2nd, was surprised to find that Kenneth Branagh was the director

3rd, the parts of the movie that are on Earth are the best parts

4th, after the final credits there is a final scene ala Iron Man 1

5th Marvel has really perfected their movies. I recently watched the Fantastic Four movie with the Silver Surfer on TV again and parts of that pic were just plain horrible.

I don't want to say much more until more see it.

    Surfer is horrible.

    How is that Destroyer Fight?

    and was it in 3D?

was it on par with Iron man or just below?

It's playing in 3D and IMAX 3D, I saw the regular version.

I still liked Iron Man 1 better, but Thor is still good.

the only good part of the comic book archetype is the genesis of the character. part 2 or a continuation of the character will only ever sully the veneer.

Disagree I really liked Iron Man 2. And of course Dark Knight is amazing.

iron man 2 was nothing compared to the first in my opinion because the character development was already laid out beforehand. it's like having sex with your wife on a schedule, there's just no foreplay.

the new batman franchise is an exception to both comic and movie-making rules..... both director and lead actors have the strength to carry the parts beyond the genre. ................ that being said, i expect a flop in the next installment, even with joshua gordon levitt as the joker [underrated actor/heathledger-lookalike-r]

Black/African and Asian Asgardians = bullshit.

I know why Hollywood does it but its a fake multi-culti illusion.

Lord Of The Rings didnt need to have a sprinkling of "minorities" for a good story or for "others" to enjoy the flick.

Ultimate Nick Fury is understandable since theyre trying to push that Universe.

Black Alicia Masters as Thing/Ben Grimm's girl is a stretch.

Black Heimdall is some bullshit. Vikings didnt have no brothers in the pantheon.

I idont wanna see a white Wakandan priest holding Panther God ceremonies.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is not playing the Joker in the next Batman movie.

I went in with zero expectations and it was a lot better than I thought it would be. I was a marvel head growing up, but never got into Thor (or Cap/Avengers). I agree with Motown that they've really stepped their game up lately. The comedy was just right. Any more and it would've turned corny fast.

    Oh, and this.

Thor was very enjoyable. I gave it a 7.5
When he finally got his Thor powers back, as predictable as it was, was awesome.

first battle in frozen world was fusking illlll.............comedy was on point........didn't really understand what loki was up to at the end and i found the ending to be confusing.............other than that, it was WELL WORTH my $11 and 2 hours of fun.

I imagine this will be the basis for The Avengers. Loki will acquire the Cosmic Cube and then its on.

The Thor climax was weak, like the Iron Man 1 climax.

No way should Thor have to struggle to beat Loki in one-on-one combat.

Props on the The Warriors Three.
I have to take back my anti- Black/Asian Asgardian rant.
Hogun shoulda looked more Mongolian than Japanese/Korean/Chinese though.
