Pretty hot performance. Covering Bach's Toccata on a ukulele. I never thought I would put the words sexy and ukulele together.

    Awesome. She's definitely fingering it like a uke would be tuned. Probably a tenor ukelele with doubled strings ala a mandolin.

    it's an 8 string ukulele. she's from oahu, mad young, and looks different in well lit rooms.

    i'm not really feeling the performance. it's like watching shimabukuro's "while guitar gently weeps" nonsense. it's corny.

    even though it was derived from cavaquinhos, an ukulele is a hawaiian instrument that sounds best when playing hawaiian music.

    I disagree with your traditional orthodoxy on the uke. But that's just me.

    I don't think it's her normal style tho right? Wasn't she discovered by Don Ho or something? I remember reading her bio a couple of months back.
