from my 12", which is at the pressing plant as i type this...
i'm feeling sad
out of curiosity what would you call this style of programing?
shouts to dave
i never thought of that ... but its a good comparison.
maybe i would call my drum programming ... shitty.
def. got some breakcore/IDM feel in it... kinda like some of the stuff on that Sound Ink label...
are those live drums chopped up or are they off a record? nice sound, either way...
That was dope - the drum programming was
You put alot of work into that and it shows.
anyways, this is one i like, i'm aware the sample is off beat or something, and the arrangement is crap (i know it's too short to, I'm still working on it)

damn that sample is fucking incredible, let me remix it! haha
Some work in progress shit im kinda feeling.
pay me a 1000 dollars and i'll give you the name of the record
seriously though you can pm me if you want to know.
I need to sort out the annoying click, I have no idea what sample its coming from they all sound clean when I play them alone? But it must coming from one of them.
The scatching I???m unhappy with and that needs sorting out (I want a relevant vocal, scratch not just the ???Ahhh??? sample.
Might get around to tidying it up one day but it will probably sit on the ???must do pile??? and never get done.
Turn and run
All programmed not straight loops.
Delta Force
Good Things
Been stuck doing documentary music.
One of the latest, a lazy loop. Sorry for the no sequencing.

Peace.

I've grabbed most of the other stuff posted... I'll be back a little later with some feedback. Right now I got a bowl of cereal that's getting soggy on me.
Like this very much. Would like to have heard something rough/raw to contrast with the soothing sounds... crackle? tape hum? Feedback on the bass hits? I don't know. Maybe less echo-y swirling stuff in the background too.
Great drums as already mentioned. Would also add, that when any instro downtempo beats music (no blazing downtempo graemlin?) hits the shelves, comparisons with his Joshness will ensue, and as you've used a piano sample around the 3:05 mark that I'm sure he already dropped somewhere on Entroducing, I suppose that's what I'd instantly compare it with - and this stands up well to comparisions.
if i come off as an adequate Josh knock off i guess thats cool with me.
the piano part your talking about is actually a vanity pressed album
from where i grew up in Maine ... i would venture to say that Shadow does
not have this record and wouldn't want it if he heard it.
its total shit.
the piano part is totally replayed/resequenced, however it may be like one he has used.
i'm still stuck on the New Age comparison ... i think its dead on.
i should follow in Paul Winters footsteps and do some turntablism with some
howling wolves.
I dug that song you did Aspirin.
good job.
...damn, that is a dope loop.
real dope.
wow ... that was a nice way to start the morning.
gotta love the rim shot too.
are you going to "finish" this or is it as is?
It's meant for an MC, obviously. And it might need slightly punchier kicks. But does it need something else as well?
