Disco 7" records

Do you buy them if a 12" version the same song exists? Are they collectable at all?
Are there people who prefer the 7" versions?
Are there some which have actually a better mix than the 12" version?
Questions over questions...

I find lots of them in the field and pass on them although I would love to have the song itself.

  • Modern soul DJs that can't mix usually prefer the 45 versions over twelve inches that have break downs and build up parts

Just buy them & shut up about it.

I prefer the 12" for the most part unless a) it doesn't come on 12", or b) the 12" is prohibitively expensive.

IMO 7" sound like crap compared to 12" disco records. I regret buying a few instead of buying the 12", the music is
fuller and brighter on a 12". My example is Norma Jean Wright "sorceror" her 7" is poop compared to the better and wider
    12"
