    i have the most ridiculous nerdcrush on scottish geologist iain stewart at the moment. he is so brave and smart and stupid at the same time. why stupid? he sits with his legs dangling over crazy high ravines when big ass earthquakes are likely to hit all the while using the most nerdy, but poignantly poetic adjectives to talk about them. he inhales toxic dinosaur while caving and instead of complaining about awful conditions, he talks about how "lovely" it is and uses the best romantic descriptors when describing old rocks and is so sincerely in awe of this stuff all the time.
