Newcastle 4 - Arsenal 4. I didn't watch the match, but apparently it all turned when Diaby and Barton went in for a 50-50 challenge, and Diaby got up and grabbed Barton by the throat and threw him on the floor. And got sent off. WTF? The ref should've sent Barton off on principal and shook Diaby by the hand.
As disappointing as that comical result was, MUDDERFUNKIN' WOLVES FUSKIN' FERG'S SHiT UP, NO UNBEATEN SEASON FOR YOU BOYS, thank you Mick McCarthy, Manure SIT THE F*CK DOWN.
Poor game, good result. While it was still 0-0, I was telling my mates that the dream result would be 1-0 to Liverpool courtesy of a Torres own goal, but that never happened.
Schadenfraud aside, this is a weird season. Man U's unbeaten run might get twisted over time as a great record, but going on performances it's been a bigger indication of standards slipping... I'd seen Man U labelled as 'The Unconvincibals'. Injuries to key players and team fatigue seems to be the deciding factor, and I wonder how much the frenetic pace and physical side of the game does effect the national team, and other international stars who looked well below-par at the last world cup. Maybe refs should be going zero-tolerance on dangerous play for the longevity of the players. Or would that neuter the EPL's strongest selling point?
Really hoped that Aurelio shot would have gone in, just to embarass Chelsea all the more.
Got up early at the cabin here in Tahoe only to find the cable tv not working. Hungover as schitt, I realized my car was blocked in the driveway 2 deep. Hoofed it 40 minutes up to the casinos and watched the game with some haggard old dudes drinking pi??a coladas at 8 am.
Steve Clarke was the best decision Dalglish made. The press and the lazy will give Kenny all the credit, but he is really the figure head. Clarke is the brains of the operation. He works on the training field with the players on skills and training. Mourinho tried to take him to Inter, but Chelsea wouldn't let him leave and where ever he has been the players have improved. He has bridged the gap between Kenny and the modern game and it is working perfectly.
Was wondering who came up with the Liverpool 3-4-2-1 formation today.

It's clear that Ancelotti has little enthusiasm for Torres as a Chelsea player. He practically admitted as much when asked after the game why he substituted him ("I wanted to go back to my preferred formation") but, much as Mourinho was with Shevchenko, Ancelotti is now lumbered with him and will have to get used to his name being on the team-sheet on Abramovich's say-so, whether he likes it or not. The Prem is surely beyond them now, so if they don't win the CL, and I don't think they will, I wouldn't be surprised to see Torres - like Crespo, Veron and Shevchenko before him - sent out on loan at some point next season. Not saying that I think such a thing will happen, merely that I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

Yep think this is bang on. While you'd be loathe to look the gift horse of the talent of Torres in the mouth I really don't see how it's going to fit with the formation Chelsea prefer to play. The problem for Ancelotti and the previous couple of managers is that if they do try and change up the formation it invariably fails. Wish I'd had money on that match yesterday, had the feeling that Liverpool would triumph as they're never better than when they're pissed off with an account to settle.
Annoyed that we lost points against Wolves (though they really are extraordinary giant killers this season) but happy to have all the talk about going unbeaten and the hilarious "do they deserve it?" put to bed so we can focus on winning things. Plus, if we were going to slip up we couldn't have chosen a better week really, that Newcastle match was insane.
But I will get butthurt if people say nasty things about Mike Skinner.
So M-Okem, you heard this new Streets then? I saw reviews suggesting that it was a return to form for the lad but I fail to see what he's got left to bring to the table since it seemed he kind of burnt himself out with A Grand.......

What's with Yanited fans at the moment. They seem to have turned up the obnoxious to 11 recently.
I watched this one back in the day. The REAL Alan Smith.
I enjoyed their return to the final the following year much more..
You slag.
I watched both. I think I felt more like an Arsenal fan during the return than I had during the victory.
Face-palm.
Will Rooney start banging them in now?
Unsure on the fantasy footy related..

%-P
I'll take comfort where I can find it.
but with united losing (invincibles? ha!) it was even more of a shit result for arsenal.
YOUR.
BACON.
FACE.
Mick VINDICATED.
Read in a match report that he was already tapping his watch at 60mins.
That has cheered me up, a friend says tonight's MOTD should be a cracker with all of the day's goals, but am on my way out to a gig.
Still, for those who hate UTD, salute! Slainte! Chok dee khap! Huzzah for Mick McCarthy!
LET ME KNOW WHEN EITHER OF YOU WIN FIVE.

Is a fantastic one line dismissal of a career.
I can only come up with "Stream-of-conciousness chav poetry".
I cannot ride, I've never fancied a girl from JJB or wore gold and a trackie.
