Anyone going to this? I want to but can't make it. I heard they are going be performing with a band.

    I don't think I'd want to see P.E. with a band unless it's Anthrax. JMO

    I think PE uses a band more often than not these days.

    I don't think I ever need to see another rap show with a live band.

    Yoshi's in Oakland? When did they start doing rap shows there? I always thought that was a jazz club.

    they are a jazz club (there's an SF location too), but they book some "golden era" acts or acts deemed "conscious" or whatever. I think they had Del once.

    I saw Public Enemy with a band a while back ago at the Filmore in SF. I believe P.U.T.S. also played that night. I was disappointed with PE. Every song had a guitar solo and ended with a guitar riff while everyone jumped up and down a la Rage Against the Machine.
