seriously, this shit is invaluable. firm release dates, chart info, label info like I've never seen.

AMAZING old adverts on every page.

just shit like this little piece about the Grand Junction label and Fugi's "Red Moon"

October 1970

... I had no idea Fugi wrote "I''d Rather Go Blind" !?

and check out the chart on that page, Impressions "Baby Turn On to Me" is such a killer song ... and "Ace of Spades" debuts at #42

seriously the internets at their most utopian.

check out this (disco) DANCE SPECIAL insert from '82. Main article interviews Arthur Russell and has DJs talking abut ESG being the hottest thing in the clubs. The article about DJs "pushing the boundaries" is interesting too.

I do, too. I used to spend lazy weekends at the library looking this shit up - and I might still have to, since certain issues from the Google edition are missing - but for the most part, it's good to be able to peruse old Billboards from home!

Multiple aspects of this thread have combined to remind me that there really needs to be a cable-access show featuring pickwick33 and SoulOnIce dressed as The Thing With Two Heads and discussing record-related issues.

I've only seen the first Shrek film, but apparently there's a sequel to it with a Pied-Piper character... and Jeremy Steig plays his flute parts. COOL
