not really that good of a movie, but it's worth it for the Sam Rockwell scenes as part of the movie within the movie. Overall it's got a kind of Napoleon Dynamite thing going on and it's not that great, but Yeast Lords is pretty awesome. He's getting praise in the Iron Man thread. He's super funny in this movie too.Broncanus!

But Galaxy Quest was actually a pretty funny movie. And Rockwell was great.
Also liked him in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Moon
Have not seen Gentlemen Broncos. Will check out. Thx
It's definitely enjoyable. I thought it would be worse, but it's pretty funny. It's got some moments where it seems like it's trying too hard, but it's totally worth it for the totally over the top ridiculous moments.
I totally just added it to my Netflix queue.
Rent the DVD so you can see the deleted scene "Brutus's Cave", which I think about every time I want to crack up.
The movie is endlessly quotable.
Great movie.
I recommend seeing it drunk.

While I wouldn't necessarily compare Galaxy Quest to The Godfather, it is a pretty entertaining movie that even overcomes the casting of Tim Allen.
the Rockwell scenes are indeed great.
and Dr. Ronald Chevalier is a great villain; I was feeling his 80's George Lucas stylings.

and there's a great Scorpions musical montage.
I liked Galaxy Quest. Rockwell was a great scumball in The Green Mile, too. Kind of slept-on as an actor, I feel. Never even seems to turn up in "most slept-on" lists.
Yeah, he's pretty slept-on as a slept-on actor.
it's like a lot of folls forget to sleep on him; like he's off the sleep-on radar for lots of people.
Not sure what exactly do you mean by italics?
I've been having a strange urge to revisit this movie.
