just curious. did anyone cop anything at the ARC Record Sale so far.

    Hell no. Their aim is to have a copy of EVERY item of recorded music, and the sale is to get rid of spares. That's a chud/heat ratio I don't want to think about.

    that sale sucks, timewaster even when i worked a few blocks away from it.

    That place is a complete scam, as far as I can tell.

    I went to one of their sales many years ago and got there early because it was advertised that three copies of MC5 'Looking At You' OG singles would be there for $10/ea. I was second in line and when the door opened the guy in front of me ran to a box of singles and grabbed all three copies out of it without even looking through the box - he obviously knew exactly where they were. He paid for them and split.

    I complained to no avail and spent the next two hours looking through everything else and didn't find a single record worth buying.

    Worst day of record shopping ever.

    i got a great old 70's mixer there, complete w/ echo on the mic input (a la "Spoonin' Rap") for cheap, maybe 20-30 bucks...

    never really scored on records tho...
