Unidentified Piece of Equipment - Please Help!

Saw some DJs doing a set and they had the tables running through a small piece of equipment (maybe about the size of a Dr Rhythm). It had a big circle pad that when you hit it would add reverb or delay to the mix live. Does anyone know what this piece of equipment may have been?

    I'm assuming it was a Kaoss Pad, could be wrong though.

    I think it was something else - but I was checking out the Kaoss Pad and it looks pretty hot! Mini-Kaoss Pad in particular!

    Yes! I think this was it! They kept hitting that round pad!
